This latest controversial "slant eye" photo has made its way to the international internet circuit. It's a photo taken of the Spanish Basketball Team for an ad placed in a Spanish newspaper. Its racist suggestions have been scrutinized worldwide. The Spanish media and press are defending the team's photo and suggesting that international media has made too big of a deal out of this photo and that this photo was taken in good fun and humor.Like, really? That has to be the dullest, most witless, unworldly humor ever. I wonder why nobody involved with this photo during the process had any remote thoughts as to how negative this might appear. I dare the brave souls who were involved in this photo and those defending it to honestly pose like that in front of a large crowd of Asians. I'm sure they would find it a hoot.
It's NOT Gasol good.

But Gasol got it. He didn’t get it when the Spanish courier company persuaded the players to pose with their index fingers stretching their eyes to a thin slit at a team media day, but he sure as heck gets it now.
“Some of us didn’t feel comfortable doing it just because to me it was a little clownish for our part to be doing that,” Gasol said. “But the sponsors insisted and insisted. I think it is just a bad idea I guess to do that, but it was never intended to be offensive or racist against anybody.
“I didn’t find it very funny. I didn’t find it offensive, either. I guess some guys didn’t mind. To me I don’t want to be that way, I guess, to be doing that stuff.
“If anybody feels offended by it we totally apologize for it. We never meant anything offensive by it.”
Yeah.. definitely not his original comments.
