The Chinese government, infamous for its media
censorship, has finally allowed its citizens to write/blog/text about the aftermath of the Sichuan earthquake – a full week after the magnitude 7.9 quake has left many questioning the relief efforts of its government. Cheers to their temporary and limited freedom of speech and the press, something that many of us take for granted.
Exactly one year ago I traveled to the province of Sichuan during China’s week-long labor holiday in May.

Sichuan is an amazing place with great people, food, and culture. It's tough to see any group of people try to rebuild themselves after catastrophic natural disasters.
Help out if you can.
